Welcome to my first gallery.
It's been about 3 years since I first picked up a watercolor brush and though I prefer looking at oil paintings myself, when it comes to trying my own hand, water, color, a brush and paper together are by far and away my favorite medium. Any oils or acrylics you will see on this site pre-date my watercolors, except perhaps for an occasional new box miniature. Also note that these are scanned at home, any sold prints are scanned professionally.
Portraits are my very favorite subject and also the most demanding. I do not seek to represent the figure so much, but the expression of the soul in the eyes as communicated through posture, composition and color, or lack of it.
So far I have worked exclusively from photos. I have also worked on commission. It requires a bit of dialog and a choice of photographs. Pricing starts very modestly. Please contact me through this site for further inquiry and don't forget to view my Portraits Gallery.
